In December 2025, Bond Guitars took part in the EGB Symposium held in Hallstatt, Austria. Surrounded by mountains, historic workshops and the sound of instruments in progress, the symposium brought together independent guitar builders from across Europe for several days of shared knowledge, craft and conversation.
Organised by the European Guitar Builders association and hosted at the Instrumentenbau Hallstatt facilities, the event focused on hands-on workshops, technical discussions and the exchange of experience between luthiers working with different traditions, tools and ideas. From tonewood selection and construction techniques to design philosophy and the future of independent guitar making, every conversation reflected a deep respect for the craft.
For us, the symposium was not only about learning but also about connection. Meeting fellow builders, seeing new instruments take shape and discussing challenges and ideas face to face reinforced why community matters in this industry. The atmosphere was open, curious and driven by a shared passion for building instruments with character and purpose.
